Flux Conference

So -FLUX- fair luxury conference happen this week, and I was so privileged to just be there! Amazing speakers, inspirational talks, presentations, and an over all positive atmosphere for the remarkable changes about to come on the ground, in regards to all mines. If you are still reading this, yet have no idea what I am talking about let me explain: Flux is a short cut for Fair-Luxury, and it is a small team with interest to promote fair trade actions; as you probably guessed so far, this was the long anticipated first responsible jewellery/S-G smithing conference in the UK! Featuring a lot of devoted people from all disciplines within the jewellery industry, that volunteered to educate the general public about the importance of fair trade and ethical sourcing.

An excellent event that hosted a variety of workshops, with the opportunity to exchange tips and information with key speakers, jewellers and activists, while holding a generous glass of wine or coffee.

Not to mention that Greg Valerio (known activist/jeweller), Ute Decker (architectural jeweller/artist), and Orsola de Castro (fashion revolution/activist) were just some, of the talented speakers.
