Elisavet Messi gives emphasis on the simplicity and purity that can be found in a workshop, once a craftsman is in sync with all his tools.
As a daughter of a mechanical engineer, and a trained goldsmith, she appreciates the knowledge that can be acquired over time and she is a big supporter of technicality and innovation.
Over the course of Elisavet’s tenure, she has received multiple awards for her innovative use of wire. Including the prestigious Goldsmiths Craft and Design Awards & the honour to be a freeman of the Worshipful Company of the Gold and Silver Wyre drawers. As well as being an associate member of the Institute of Professional Goldsmiths of London.
Beyond her own practice, Elisavet Messi is also passionate about academia and she is an active mentor and tutor for several institutes; while she still undertakes research projects on the field of art & design.
Jewellery & Objects
Deeply influenced by the ‘Slow Design movement’, her jewellery and objects celebrate ‘the complex of simplicity’ through innovative making and focus on the material’s properties.
This approach results in minimal pieces with sculptural values that aim to highlight not just the design aesthetics but also the material itself.
With focus on sustainability and ethical practice, each piece is handmade with great attention to detail in 100% recycled silver & 18ct Fairtrade gold.
Signed, numbered and hallmarked in the London Assay office, all Jewellery and objects are carefully packed away in plastic free packaging and ready to ship within 2-3 weeks. All pieces are made to order.
All statement pieces are one off, where smaller pieces are a part of a limited collection of 10.
Bespoke pieces and personal projects are always welcome.
